Hi there, and welcome to the second episode of Kapella Group’s Friday Field Videos! I’m Kyle May, head of presales and marketing at Kapella Group and Global Construction and today, we’re going to be talking about the Kapella Showroom!

Introducing the Kapella Showroom

At the start of 2023, the Kapella Group and Global Construction team sat down to reflect on the previous year and figure out what was working and what wasn’t. 

One of the sticking points that came up in multiple conversations was procurement. The estimators were having a hard time keeping material prices down in their bids and the production team was struggling to source building materials in a cost-effective and timely manner. 

The solution: Cut out the middleman. 

When it comes to unit renovations, there are two things that consistently delay projects… Cabinets and Flooring. In the past, we had been relying on 3rd party vendors to buy both, leading to higher prices and longer lead times. By setting up our own showroom, we were able to become a cabinet and flooring vendor and no longer need to rely on others to keep projects moving.

Now we have multiple lines of cabinets to choose from including selections from Legacy and HCI Cabinetry plus a number of flooring options like Encore, Kardeen, and Mohawk. 

Additionally, our exteriors division, Kapella Roofing, is now able to offer over 10 lines of shingles and multiple solutions for commercial flat and low slope roofs.

How Kapella’s Showroom Leads to Lower Prices and Faster Turn Around

The Kapella Showroom now has over 100 samples from flooring and cabinets, to countertops, and even roofing and siding options. By working directly with manufacturers, we are able to cut out the middleman and pass the savings on to our customers. 

Additionally, lead times have been cut down as well as there are few moving pieces to worry about. We are now able to build more accurate project timelines as we have direct contact with our suppliers as opposed to dealing with an account manager through a vendor.
